Dear Prabhu:
I would listen to the kindly, considerate part of yourself that does not want to commit suicide because it would upset the people around you. It has a life-giving message for you.
If you are here on this earth, it is likely that you are here to carry out some task or purpose. Consider giving yourself some time to discover what it is.
It is very natural for 30's something you people to feel unhappy because they feel that they are not going anywhere, have no “place” in the world and to start feeling like they “don’t belong here.”
They are (quite naturally) impatient to learn what it is that they are supposed to be doing, and sometimes feel blank or empty or sad or lonely because their life purpose has not become clear yet.
But one’s life purpose is not always revealed quickly to a person.
Only a few people recognize their life purpose in their 30s.
Since you are at the middle of your life, you still have a few years to discover why you are here. As you gradually discover what you are here to do, you will take classes, join groups, meet new friends, etc., who will share your interests and outlook.
Then you will feel less lonely.
With regard to the suicidal thoughts prabhu consider getting a counselor or therapist, and possibly getting some anti-depressant medication if they recommend it.
Your sadness is understandable, but it is getting too intense and disrupting your life. It is likely becoming a serious depression. A counselor or therapist can help you deal with the negative thoughts, and work with you to get on a more positive path, so your life will be less painful and have more joy.
Cordially,
Fighting to Survive (been there)

Okay well I know I’m not too young but i constantly have this thought I shouldnt be here anymore. I try to be happy, I try to be myself but deep down I just feel like being alone and crying inside. I have no idea what I want anymore. I see myself going nowhere In life. Ive thought about killing myself and everytime I try to I cant bring myself to do it because I think of how other people would feel. I don't know I’m just ranting, I’m sorry.

Anitha got Married
June 23 2010
The pain is immense, I can’t go on I scream at GOD and ask why? But there is no answer. I can’t go on living, feeling what I feel. The torment is eating me alive, I am dying inside, just as I found hope, She was snatched away from me. At the same time writing this I can no longer envision a future, I no longer have hope, everything has been taken from me. From my fiancée, to my home and my life has reached an impasse. It’s a make or break time and I feel completely broken. I’m staring into an depth and this time there is no light at the end.
I am both physically and mentally traumatized. As a loved person I lost my Anitha…This day I am shut off from the world, I didn’t; no couldn’t speak with anyone because I didn’t understand why the accident happened, I tried to find some kind of justification but couldn't. I stopped interacting with people as it was the only way I could survive. I went into shock, I couldn’t communicate and the world had become a dark and lonely place. I wasn’t prepared for this farewell of a person I loved.
Goodbye Anitha & i miss you more than anything in the world...

Darkness
June 22 2010
I have been struggling with my inner demons and haunted by the ghosts of my past for most of my life, and I simply don’t know how much more I can possibly take. I’m just not strong enough to keep fighting off the inner darkness that much longer, sometime sooner or later it’s going to engulf me… and I won’t survive.

How bad I feel...
June 21 2010
It feels weird to be sitting here writing this on some random blog on the internet when I've never told a single person in my life how I really feel…guess that’s the thing about the internet you don’t really have to fear what you write…but anyway guess here it goes…
A couple of years ago my girlfriend broke up with me, yes I know your thinking this how all suicide stories start, but to be honest this started even before then…I just get no real pleasure out of my life.
So here I am again contemplating what has steadily become more and more of a real solution…the idea of not having to keep each day up honestly feeling so down and dragging myself through each hour until finally going back to bed and barely sleeping seems pretty great…
My family have been good to me…my dad and I have never been close and my mum is termagant( she never accept mistakes) but they’re good people…my friends have been there for me too I guess but I could never tell any of them just how bad I feel…
I guess that is about it really…I dunno where I am with suicide now but really the notion of living for another 20…maybe 30 years is an awful idea to me…maybe some people just aren’t meant for this life…it’s never felt right to me.
Kill me:(
June 20 2010
I had thought of many reasons of not living. Unfortunately, i forgot most of them. It seems i think of stuff, then i forget about them. I think suicide is a very reasonable course of action to take for people like me. I have no friends and I am not concerned with my well being family.
I am not someone who is looking for a cure for my loneliness. I am not looking for love or happiness. I just want to die. There is no one out there for me. Even if i met someone, I would destroy their lives. I am a disease on humanity. I deserve to be killed.
I used to think that i only needed 3 things in my life, a loving wife, a good job and I keep my parents, surroundings happy. Now i work 12 hours a day, come home sleep till morning, and do it all over again. When i sleep im not thinking, or a coma wouldnt be so bad either, i could use one of those, stop these horrible memories.

Its very disturbing to know, I wasnt born to live in this manner. Kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me, kill me.

Keep going...
June 16 2010
Few months ago, someone told me that, before the morning breaks, there will be stormy nights.. before breakthrough, there will be breakdowns.. and that’s what I will be going through this year.
This week has been very mentally, emotionally trialing for me in one area of my life… there were many stormy and sleepless nights…
I guess that’s what I get for asking from the universe when I set one of my 2010 life goals on this particular area… this is my journey… my breakdowns… my breakthroughs… till the sun rises.
Its my birthday!
June 15 2010
Woo Hoo! It’s my birthday today and I am too tired to write any more…
Instead I am posting a clip created by my brother Guru...
This was annoying in my head.

Do you ever have one of those days when things are just GOOD and RIGHT and you feel accomplished?
(No? Then you should probably stop reading because I'm about to get really f***ing annoying.)
I'm not usually that person, I'm definitely not that cheerful man who always looks on the bright side and never thinks inappropriately mean thoughts about people who annoy him and wakes up singing along with the goddamn birds and would rather die than swear.
And I never will be, in case you are holding your breath.
(None of you are, right? Please don't. I don't know CPR.)
(I could probably figure it out, though. I mean, it can't be THAT hard. And I'm smart.)
(Apparently, I AM the man who is flippantly casual about life saving techniques and their importance. But that's beside the point.)
But today, I set some goals for myself and I met them.
(WITHOUT CAFFEINE. I'd like to stress that.)
I don't think I lack confidence, or even follow-through, but sometimes I think I DO suffer from the raging narcissism that I am occasionally accused of, and so it's always a good feeling to actually accomplish something that you KNEW you could do but just hadn't tried.
There are things I know that I will never do; things that I cannot be. But there are LOADS of things that I probably could do that I've just never had the courage to try. But I'm up for the challenge. Life is short. And I have a lot to do.
I wish I could sum up this post on the same profound note that I ended my last one, but that would just be too many deep thoughts in a row for this man, so instead I'm going to have to keep it simple and go with a little Ice Cube:

An emotional roller coaster
June 10 2010
It’s been the most overwhelming, emotional and brilliant rollercoaster few days, with family members turning up from ooty and my brother guru from chennai coming to stay. The natural high is so high and the low is inexplicable and surprising. I know it’s a lot to do with my mind, late nights and way too much booze but i’m so happy to be able to experience this. I think most people live their whole lives without having the good fortune or opportunity to feel what i’m feeling now.
Thank you, my friends
And without meaning to be mushy, I feel blessed to have you around…..

Towards 30
May 31 2010
I noticed that a few close friends that I have at this point of my life now will be entering 30s this year. For the past 4 weeks, my conversations with them have evolved around life after 30s. Now that they have a steady career, steady streams of in-come, some are deciding on their next dream family, some brand new car, few thinking of investing into businesses.
I will be turning 30 in a few weeks and have another 10 years before the big 40. I have been asking myself what do I want to have achieved by 40. What do I want to have accumulated to prepare for my life journey into years of 40s. The list is getting longer. Here’s few that I want so far..
Driving my dream car(Ambassador)…
Be d’ Man of Business (only few will know what is this)
Have my own Digital Condo set up by 33 with the latest wireless and home IP gadgets.
Sufficient cash to start up a new business in Pollachi or my google valet franchise (by than it might be something else).
Cover AUSTRALIA or US or CUBA or SINGAPORE (all countries) by 40s.
I have no idea how I am going to achieve all these including my dream car… . As for now, I think I need more money. The question is how do I make more risk-free money other than my business & investment now? I have no idea..
I will just continue to persue my number 1 dream for now and start working on the rest once it is stabalized. Pray fully too it will fullfill all the rest of my dreams in my life.

Life
May 31 2010
Life often evolves in a very mysterious way, bringing along unanticipated experiences and therefore lessons. The outcome of our life is resulted from how we respond to these experiences. If we received it with open arms, learn to adapt and evolve with it… we progress, we grow. On the other hand, one who resent it, rejects it… regress into anger, bitterness & and eventually… depression.
The fundamental difference is ’CHOICE’… how we choose to respond when life experiences come knocking on our door.
The second fundamental is… to love, respect and be patient with one another despite the choices they made. We can still do that though we might disagree with his/her choice.

What’s freedom… actually?
May 30 2010
When we were kids…Being waken from our sleep, Dragged to school through the years. Life seems like a bottomless peak…We can’t wait for freedom after graduations. When we started work, As bills and debts mountains. We can’t wait to get married… with someone to share our burdens yet after D’day… we lost ourselves trying to be good spouse, in-laws, and parents..
Life is trapped once again and we lost completely, our freedom. When they are all gone… the young and old
The mountains of debts and bills and parenting guilt.Life finally found its freedom…Only to face with our body saying… it’s about time to draw down the curtains…
So… what’s freedom… actually?.

It was almost perfect in every little way…
The gentle touch, the quiet whisper and the assuring voice.
It brings cheer into my life, yet tears through many nights.
I knew it all along, it is not mine to own.
Thus this chapter is written… the final finale…

I don't feel like....
May 24 2010
I don’t feel like going out tonight.
I don’t feel like walking through the cold and mist in the dark.
I don’t feel like having the wind hit me in the face making my eyes water.
I don’t feel like being an acrobat placing my feet in just the right spots so I don’t fall.
I don’t feel like being out twice as long because it takes that much longer to walk anywhere.
I have to go to my work tonight; the one I signed up for just to socialize. That’s it; my only motive. I really get nothing out of it, well, other than meeting a few people.
How do these types of people get a free pass?
May 23 2010
I lay on the icy cold tiles in my room for 2 hours last night crying, just wanting to die. It’s all my broken links. I’m made up of them. No one listens to me and I feel like I have no sense of control in my life. What I asked for seemed so simple and I gave clear directions and yet they do what they want instead of what I asked. I was given a lot of crap that I would have been humiliated to present to anyone. I never get away with anything like that and it just makes me wonder why I’m held to a higher standard than the rest. How do these types of people get a free pass?
While on the floor I decided I’m not going back to Pollachi. It is really dragging me down and I don’t need any reminders of how weak some of my relationships are. I would have thought twice about taking this steps again if I had known it was going to focus on my weakest skills and my weakest relationships I had. This isn't the time. I don’t need to focus on my weaknesses I need to focus on my strengths. I need to protect myself. I’m hanging on by a thread.

Ignore problems until the very last minute, build up the pressure. I respect looking for something by expecting; simply staring. Heaven forbid I could put work before pleasure. And I do, take pleasure in working more than worrying – My destructive piece of mind struggles otherwise as my lazy side concedes – I believe, everything could be perfect in the end. And constant happiness is possible.

How can one describe a feeling so numb?
Of the highest highs and deepest disguise-
I was going to live my life, I swear…
And it won’t be the distance that does it
Nor the constant pushing away
Rather never knowing
Of leaving bed, moods and heads
To sway; to stay, today?

Journey in silence
May 17 2010
This week I have been driving to and from work in silence. A bit of a struggle for me as my mind tends to wander in all sorts of directions if I’m not distracting myself with music or tv or any loud sound to quiet my mind. I’ve found that this mini mental break has actually been really good for me. Not only has it been a nice break for my normally out of control mind, it has given me an opportunity for insight.
This morning on my way into work I was thinking about how my mind works. It is a perfectionist’s mind. It expects daily miracles. There is nothing wrong with setting high goals but in recovery it is important to be realistic. My mind says “do something the correct way once and you will be healed”, the problem with thinking this way is that when I do something the correct way and I still have anxiety, my anxiety gets worse, I beat myself up for not being “better”.

Dreamz!
May 16 2010
I am a dreamer… at least in my sleep. I dream very frequently as often as every night since very much younger. Sometimes I love it, especially when I have sufficient sleep and woke up with a smile on my face. Some times I hate it… especially when I was chasing something or be chased, teeth falling out, falling, fights between love ones, arriving late to some important functions.
Sometimes dreams can be very helpful… a solutions to an issue which I have been working on. Sometimes it is a warning… like ‘drive carefully!’. Sometimes it’s a mystery… Sometimes it’s boringly black and white, and sometimes I can remember the colour, the touch, the smells, and the feelings… especially when it is a beautiful dream.
As I aged teen, I began to enjoy dreams more… especially dreams that repeats my Anipra and my daily errants in life. Whenever I am stressed, my dreams evolve around the situations that I was stressed about…. to the point I have to ask myself , ‘…did I actually made that promise, call that decision, met the person or did that happened in my dream?’… Whenever that happened, I woke up feeling like I have not slept!.
Tonight, I yearn for dreamless night to have a complete rest after few days of eventful dreams!

Eternal Sunshine
May 12 2010
I continue to feel better mentally. It has to be attributed to the Oleanz that was newly prescribed. I have always had a low-level depression biting my head even on "good days", but I don't even have that now. Not only that, I am actually sleeping well with no assistance from Ativan. I am getting tired around 10:00pm, go to sleep, sleep through the night and wake up at a good time. It is amazing to me that this is occurring when remembering how not long ago I would go night after night with no sleep.
Could all of this be the Oleanz? Does it really give "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"? (love that movie, by the way)

I think...
May 6 2010
I think that sometimes, people don't die from suicide or from accidents or illnesses.
I think that sometimes, people die because they simply lose their will to continue with life.
Once the will to keep fighting is gone, something changes in their hearts.
With no will to keep going, you simply don't.

Ineffective Daily Affirmations
May 4 2010
Feeling blue or insecure? Losing sight of what’s important? Still searching for the real “you”? In this self-help age of soul-searching, daily affirmations have been known to do the trick.
But you probably shouldn’t try these …
I have the power to channel my imagination into ever-soaring levels of suspicion and paranoia.
I assume full responsibility for my actions, except the ones that are someone else’s fault.
I no longer need to punish, deceive or compromise myself. Unless, of course, I want to be employed.
In some cultures what I do would be considered normal.
Having control over myself is nearly as good as having control over others.
My intuition nearly makes up for my lack of good judgment.
I can change any thought that hurts into a reality that hurts even more.
I honor my personality flaws, for without them I would have no personality at all.
I am grateful that I am not as judgmental as all those censorious, self- righteous people around me.
I need not suffer in silence while I can still moan, whimper and complain.
When someone hurts me, forgiveness is cheaper than a lawsuit. But not nearly as gratifying.
All of me is beautiful and valuable, even the ugly, stupid and disgusting parts.
I am at one with my duality.
Only a lack of imagination saves me from immobilizing myself with imaginary fears.
I honor and express all facets of my being, regardless of state and local laws.
Today I will gladly share my experience and advice, for there are no sweeter words than “I told you so.”
I am learning that criticism is not nearly as effective as sabotage.
Becoming aware of my character defects leads me to the next step — blaming my parents.
I will find humor in my everyday life by looking for people I can laugh at.

Found Note...
May 2 2010
I have been so busy lately. I know I have a lot to catch up on, reading and writing, but will be busy the next few days. Sorry. I owe Pooja a reply on her disclosure post and I read a very interesting post by Sruthi that I want to comment on. But I was going through some things in my storage area and came across this note … I wanted to share it:
On This Day:
Mend a quarrel
Search for a forgotten friend
Dismiss a suspicion, replace it with trust.
Write a letter to someone who misses you
Encourage a youth who has lost faith
Keep a promise
Forget an old grudge
Examine your demands on others and vow to reduce them.
Fight for a principle
Express your gratitude
Overcome an old fear
Take two minutes to appreciate the beauty of nature
Downloaded krithi & kavin Photos
Tell someone you love him/her
Tell them again
and again
and again.

99% vs. 100% honesty
May 1 2010
Two days ago, I stopped telling little stupid lies. Since then, my life has improved by a ridiculous amount.
There is a big difference between 99% and 100%. 100% committed is far more powerful than 99% committed. 100% confident is far more useful than 99% confident. And 100% honest is far more empowering than 99% honest.
99% honest is pretty good, it’s true. The 1% of my dishonesty was mostly either “fudging by rounding” or “little white lies”. Here are some examples.
Mom: “Did you see that actor sivakumar's speech in vijay tv ?”
Me: “Yeah, it was really nice!”
My thoughts: “Huh, why did I say that? I didn’t see it at all.”
Dad: “Are you okay with this plan?”
Me: “Yeah.”
My thoughts: “I’m mostly okay with this plan, and that’s close enough that I don’t feel like making a big deal out of it.”
