2=3 by Pepsi's Clock theorem

November 14 2010

I was a cult mathematician in college ( Not known to anyone except me). My skills with the number system were far better than the skills processed by great mathematicians like Charles Babbage, Seetharam & Sham (my maths tuition teachers), Pascal, Newton, Bhaskara, Aryabatta, Anuska and Ramanujam.( Dunno how Anuska found her way in this list. But I'll keep her in the list anyways.)

No one could tolerate the ever increasing mathematical brilliance in me and as a result I cleared my first semester discreet mathematics paper after three years.During this course of time, I challenged the Ramanujam Theory once again. I called it the clock Theorem.

Clock Theorem
2=3; because the seconds hand is infact the third hand in the clock
Proof
(in sequence ..
hours hand=first hand,
minutes hand = second hand
and seconds hand = third hand)
so seconds hand= third hand
removing hand from both sides =>
second = third

2=3 hence proved..

Will I reach Cult status in the field of Mathematics.

Mathematical Genius

November 13 2010

Disclaimer: Up on Adarsh request I write this post. This is an inspirational story about me,myself. If you finish reading this you would find the real meaning of your existence in this world.

Back in school, I used to be very bad with numbers. We were taught how to ADD two digits,through the "Finger folding technology ",adopted by my mathematics teacher. My nemesis in School,"Sudarshan", had six fingers in both his hands and thus had the extra advantage and he used to add faster than me. He even used latest cutting edge technologies to sharpen his pencils and thus was always a step ahead of me.

Days went by and I was in class XI (MCET Campus School). I had a mathematics teacher,"Mr. Mudali Appan". He developed a great liking on my compact Bum and he used to pamper my bum with "ruler scales, wooden dusters and cane sticks ". My mathematical skills were so great that I used to kneel down or mostly spend my time outside the class. He was so amazed with my skills with the numerical system, that he presented me with a Book written by Ramanujam and asked me to read it and improve my knowledge with the numbers.

I went home and started reading it and I came across a confusing solution given by Ramanujam for a simple problem. Check his solution here below:
Can U Prove 3=2??
This seems to be an anomaly or whatever u call in mathematics.
It seems, Ramanujam found it but never disclosed it during his life time
and that it has been found from his dairy.
See this illustration:
-6 = -6
9-15 = 4-10
adding 25/4 to both sides:
9-15+(25/4) = 4-10+(25/4 )
Changing the order
9+(25/4)-15 = 4+(25/4)-10
(this is just like : a square + b square - two a b = (a-b)square. )
Here a = 3, b=5/2 for L.H.S and a =2, b=5/2 for R.H.S.
So it can be expressed as follows:
(3-5/2)(3-5/ 2) = (2-5/2)(2-5/ 2)
Taking positive square root on both sides:
3 - 5/2 = 2 - 5/2
3 = 2
The brilliant mathematician who lives within me got infuriated on seeing such a confusing solution for an equation that could have been solved very easily. That night I thought of an alternate solution, and in no time I had the solution to the same problem.
Next day I went to school, Second period bell rang and Mr. Mudali appan came to take the Maths class. Its a combined class for both A and B section students. Where B section is full of girls and all my girl friends Brindha, Kalpana, Rafia, Anupriya, Vishalakshi was sitting in the first row. I announced to every one that I could prove Ramanujam is wrong. "Mr.Mudali appan" did not show any interest. Instead he took his cane to pamper my bum. But who cares!, because I very well knew that I would be the one who would have the last laugh. I saw everyone got tensed because how this nut is going to solve the problem, if I didn't solved the problem. Its a big shame to everyone in my class. I went to the black board(with one hand in my left pocket; a true demonstration of a professional walk")and started solving the problem
To prove
3=2
Proof
Multiplying both sides by zero=>
3x0=2x0
0=0
Hence proved.
After effects
1. My bum was pampered to glory.
2. I never had to attend any more of Mr.Mudali appan's classes.
3. Girls stopped talking with me forever.

Tips for +1 students (Nivedha note it carefully) how to solve tough problems easily.

A Special Wedding Day!

November 12 2010

Birthdays are special for everyone. Wedding days are special for many.  Lot of us have at least one special day in our life that make us happy. Before that I will Introduce My Parents
Mr.Senior I(Nagarajan) = My dad ( Am not gonna call myself junior. I'd rather call myself Senior II. It would be like king James I,II and so on....). Dad is a businessman and he owns a timber mill and wood stuffs. If You wanna have a great discussion on logs, woods and architects, building houses, we have an In-House consultant in place.

Being a DAD to a NUT is not an easy job(ask my dad). It requires loads of patience, mental strength (physical strength is not needed with cases like me,cos i'd wet my pants with one scornful look itself).

I dedicate five thoughts for that calm man who never ever asked me whether I love him or not.

1) The movie," Thavamai Thavam Irundhu"- I see a Rajkiran in my Dad
2) The tears, I saw in his eyes when I lost everything in my life and love too( God is gracious that I am still alive). That was the first time I saw my dad crying
3) Those days when I used to hold his index finger when we go for our evening walks
4) The hug he gave me when I passed my +2.(That was the best Hug I had got from anyone)
5) The kid-in- him that comes to life when he talk with his siblings.

Lost in 30 years of thoughts with my eyes welled up and a smile (not the nutty smile).

Mrs.Senior(Mythily) = My mother, I would often refer to her as my first God.
Mrs.Senior is not an architect, neither does she build any houses. But still she is a home maker.
It is never easy to handle a son who tests the depth of the water with both feet.
It is very tough to be the Mother of a son who breaks all the windows in the neighborhood
It is almost impossible to put up with a son who asks the weirdest questions one could ever imagine
I know a certain Mother who has been patient with her son over the years.

I remember one incident that happened in our dining room. The father, mother and son were having dinner. Suddenly
Me: Daddy, are insects good to eat?
Father: Have I not told you never to mention such things during meals!
Mother: Why did you say that, Son? Why did you ask the question?
Me: It's because I saw one on daddy's meal, but now it's gone.
I always used to create trouble in school. My teacher wrote a note to my father. It read "Your son has a Fantastic imagination! Unmatched in his capacity for blending fact with fiction. He's definitely one of the biggest liars I have ever met". My father got angry and told to me," Use your lies (SO CALLED CREATIVITY) in some art form and not in real life".
Once I was 8 years old, fell ill and my mom took me to a doctor. We were waiting for our turn to meet the doctor. My mom decided to educate me with some medical terms and asked me few questions
Mom:Do you know what an artery is?
Me: Study of art forms
Mom:No son. That is wrong. (She went on explaining it for a while and I fixes my eyes on a certain man lying unconscious in a bed)
Me: Mom! Why is that man lying down like that?
Mom: He is in a state of coma
Me: Does that mean that he can also be in semicolon, colon, full stop and other punctuation marks too?
My mom just ignored my question. She does that on many occasions. Even today she ignores most of questions. She is celebrating her  Special day today. For the world she might be just yet another women; but for me, she is my world.
The characters in the picture are:[L-R]  My Father, My Mother, Me.
Note: Bringing up a baby is an experience in itself. Bringing up a nutty baby gives wisdom
The following points are important lessons that my parents learnt in the first five years of my life when they tried to bring me up.
1) A king size water bed holds enough water to fill a house four inches deep.
2) If you pour kerosene on the leather cushion cover and light them with match sticks, they can ignite.
3) A 3-year-old's voice is louder than the priest's voice in a temple.
4) Keep paintbrushes out of reach of children, if you want your television to remain in its original color.
5) You should not throw tennis balls up when the ceiling fan is on. When using the ceiling fan as a bat, you have to throw the ball up a few times before you get a hit. A ceiling fan can hit a tennis ball a long way
6) Always have wooden windows. Never ever have glass windows.
7) Never ever insert a screw driver inside the electric-power socket.
8) A magnifying glass can burn your feet even on an overcast day. So parents! stay away from your children when they have a magnifying glass in their hands
9) When your three year old is playing with a small bean and if the bean can't be seen, chances are that the bean will be inside the nose or the ears of the child.
10) Chewing gums can also be swallowed.

Coming back to special days today is one such special day for me. In fact today is the most special day in Prabhu's life (so far I never feel like this!). Yes! Today is My Parents 32 wedding day. I was very shy to say it; but today when I told," happy wedding day ma & paa", They gave me an expression-less look. They never expected me to utter those words. The nutty nature in me goes into a pause mode when ever I come across anything that has something to do with a DAD-MOM-SON relationship. Tears rolled down my smiling cheeks this night when I pondered over a few thoughts that came across my mind.
love you ma & paa

Two Minute Review : Mynaa

Things I Love ...

November 10 2010

1) Having a firm handshake. ( But never try it with people who have strong hands like Arnold )

2) Looking at people in the eye. ( In case of unclean eyes, this is not mandatory )

3) Singing in the shower. ( Singing should be accompanied by taking a proper bath )

4) Always accept an outstretched hand. ( You might need a hand someday )

5) Be brave. Even if you're not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference. ( I live by this mantra )

6) Brush your teeth/Take a bath/Comb Your hair - Daily ( Will such a day ever come? )

7) Lend only those books you never care to see again.( I want my readers digest collection back )

8) When playing games with children, let them win. ( But they never let me win )

9) Be romantic. ( I am always romantic. Ask Anitha or refer to my previous posts )

10) Don't allow the mobile phone to interrupt important moments. It's there for your convenience, not the caller's. ( Please switch it off in a movie hall )

11) When someone hugs you, let them be the first to let go. ( No one hugs me )

12) Be modest. A lot was accomplished before you were born. ( I will have to work on this )

13) Never waste an opportunity to tell someone you love them. ( Not again )

14) Take charge of your attitude. ( Don't let someone else choose it for you. )

17) Once in a while, take the scenic route. ( welcome to Pollachi )

18) Answer the phone with enthusiasm and energy in your voice. Trust me, the person at the other end will feel good... ( Not my Clients )

19) Compliment the meal when you're a guest in someone's home.( Last time when I was served bitter mushroom gravy at my neighbors place, I swallowed it with much difficulty and appreciated the Hosts for a wonderful meal. I was served with the different varieties of the same dish, the next time I went to have dinner with them )

20) Wave at the children on a school bus. ( It is such a wonderful feeling )

21) Smile at strangers. ( This is best booster for your self confidence )

22) A stranger smiling back at you. ( Nothing can beat this )

I am adding three more on a demand made by a regular blog-buddy

23) Laughing till my sides hurt ( You need to have the right company for this)

24) Lying down on the couch and watching a movie on relationships.

25) listening music for hours ( then you would just go on and on... )

I 've a reason to fail

November 9 2010

I first flunked in my class 1 exams,when my answer to the mathematical question 1+1 =1 was not accepted by my class teacher. My explanation that one tiger plus one lion = one tigress was not accepted by her.

Then I failed in urine test when I was in class three. The yello samples landed me in bed for a couple of months with jaundice. I had a royal treatment though.

I twice failed in bike-riding test because the person who conducted the test found me guilty of keeping my foot on the ground while performing the age-old act of tracing an 8 with the bike. Little did he know that reaching the ground with both my legs;that too with a big bike like bullet, was itself an herculine task for me.

The first time I tried knotting a tie, it looked like britney spears's miniskirt.

I have worn a T-shirt inside out for one whole friday at my college with everyone but me noticing it.

The other day during my school days, I tried plugging the both ends of the same wire to the plug board and the whole school did not have power supply for two days.

I tried copying some 25 times in exams all my life and I have never been caught even once.

My greatest failure in my life was my LOVE with ANITHA.

I was so down thinking about all my failures when I came across this poster. Great words from a great man. Such humility is rare to find in the present day scenario.
Now I have a reason to fail and am proud of failing

My Final Interview

November 8 2010

Many among us would have attended the so called demon called Interview. To be honest I liked Interviews right from the very beginning as it gave me the opportunity to blow my own trumpet. It is the only place where no one will walk away when you talk(You might be asked to leave, if the interviewer find you to be over smart). I have a ninety percent failure rate in interviews( Right from Kindergarten till date).

One interesting incident happened in the year 2006. As I knew I ll not be selected, I had my head held high as I stepped foot inside the biggest fish market of South India,"Tidel Park". I was soon sitting along with a group of computer graduates in that small room which accommodated 25 of us. After some conversation with my co-interviewees I figured out that I was the only one who is not a fresher there. I had a chit given to me which read "6". I turned it upside down and it read "9". There was another babe who had a similar problem. The gentleman inside me used his brain and after a two minute talk with her I agreed that I would go in as the 9th person and she could be the 6th person. I knew that I had won her heart. I came back to my seat and saw her through the corner of my eye. She did not look at me. She must have been shy.

People went into the trial room and came back. I was told that it was a stress interview. The girl who went in as number "6", came out crying. I felt sorry for her because I could not offer her my handkerchief to wipe her tears. I had a severe running cold that day and I had already created waves of designs on my handkerchief with my nose blowing skills. With a heavy heart I sat in the room and waited for my turn. Soon the LCD display blinked, "9". I got up from my chair with full confidence and walked into the room. When I opened the room, I saw six people in the room. Three men sitting behind a long table, Two women standing near the window and one guy sweeping the floor. I knew that something was wrong. Anyhow (evalovo interview parthachu itha parkamatama he hehe he he???) this what they call as stress interview.

To make my presence felt, I wished them very loud. To my dismay I found that I started to hiccup at the same time. I ended up wishing them, " Gooiky Onomoining ". All six were looking at me. They sensed that they had their prey of the day. I took my chair and found to my horror that I had left my file in the waiting room. I rushed out of the room without informing them; took my file and ran back inside the room and sat in the chair. I was trembling now. But I tried giving my best smile. But it turned out to be a massacre of sorts.

The massacre began with a gentle question

Stress Interviewer : Hy
Me: Hy
Stress Interviewer: How do you do?
Me: I do it like a normal man.
Stress Interviewer: I meant, How are you?
Me: I am fine. How about you?
( He did not like me asking a question)
Stress Interviewer: Tell me about yourself.
Me: Should I tell about my family or my school days or my college days or my daily activities or my........, Can you be more precise cos If I start speaking about myself, I am gonna eat up your time for sure.
Stress Interviewer: What is your viewpoint on Micro processors?
( I heard it as Microsoft's process)
Me: They are the manufacturers of  windows 9x, xp, me, Internet explorer and MS office.....
(The interviewer had a blank expression on his face. He looked at the fellow sitting next to him and he too had this lame expression on his face)
Stress Interviewer: Who is your role model?
Me: I do not have one. Different people influence me in the various roles I play. So the answer to this question depends on the roles I adopt.
Stress Interviewer: Do you have any work experience?
Me: Does loving a girl called Anitha, count as a work experience?
Stress Interviewer: What did you learn from it?
Me: If I wanna marry Anitha first I should get a job.
Stress Interviewer: Is this your first Job interview?
Me: Nope
Stress Interviewer: Why did not Selected in any of your interviews?
Me: Because I could not clear their aptitude tests
Stress Interviewer: Then How come you are attending our interview?
Me: Because your aptitude test was the only one I could clear.
Stress Interviewer: Why do you think that our company is the best.
Me: I never thought so. But Yea! If you select me, I will surely think that way.
Stress Interviewer: What is the difference between love marriage and arranged marriage?
Me: I am acrophobic. So it is almost similar to someone pushing me from the top of the building or me myself jumping down. I know I cannot  pass out of this interview.
Stress Interviewer: Why did you choose the computer industry when You have a business background?
Me: Software, Joystick, Silicon, Amrica, Billgates...everything sounded so nice...
Stress Interviewer: Are you a hard worker?
Me: I hardly work to work hard.
Stress Interviewer: What gives you energy to work?
Me: energy
Stress Interviewer: What are the qualities of a good master?
Me: One who conduct class without making students sleepy.
Stress Interviewer: What is your idea on the peace talks between Lebanon and Syria?
Me: I have no idea
Stress Interviewer: How long are you planning to stay with us?
Me: I have not planned that yet. Should I plan that? How long are you planning to keep me?
( I knew from their facial reactions that they were not liking me asking them questions. )
Stress Interviewer: Where do you see yourself ten years from now?
Me: Be the MD of a computer company may be this too and Interview as you are doing rite now.
Stress Interviewer: Who is our Home minister?
( I did not have a clue about it.. I even forgot our prime minister's name when I entered the hall)
Me: Can I pass this question?
Stress Interviewer: No. Give a wild guess.
Me: George Fernandas?
Stress Interviewer: No
Me: Lallu?
Stress Interviewer: No
Me: Can I now pass this question?
Stress Interviewer: You'll be selected if You answer this question.
Me: P.Chidambaram
(But now he is our home minister. See how my instinct works?!)
Stress Interviewer: Thank you very much. We'll inform you regarding the results of your interview after we discuss amongst ourselves.
Me: Do give me a call after 9 a.m. I'll be busy on the phone before that.
(keep my phone charging and doing the toughest job in the world - sleeping!)
Stress Interviewer: Yes. We'll keep that in mind.
Me: Bye bye ( I told this with an attitude and walked out of the room with confidence oozing out like a volcano that I will never get a job)

I never heard from them again... Hope the questions would be useful for young aspiring candidates who attend interviews. Do not use the same answers as you might end up waiting for a phone call for four long years. For four long years I am under the impression that Chidambaram is our home minister. See my impression works what do you say?

My Prayers

November 7 2010

Dear God,

Thank you for helping me to stay good so far this day.

I have not flirted with anyone today;

I have not given any missed calls to random numbers;

I did not mistakenly mix salt in my  coffee;

I did not press all the buttons inside the lift;

I did not park my bike in the car parking space;

I did not torture anyone with my non-stop talk;

I have not scared even a single child today;

I have not spammed by Sharmi's(gf) mailbox with my forwarded mails;

I did not use my clients phone for my personal use;

I did not hurt any one purposefully;

I did not overspeed on my bike;

I have not switched off my dad's cellphone when he's busy working;

I did not call my friend on his mobile phone( he is on international roaming);

I did not pour water on the neighbor's cat;

But I will be getting out of bed in a minute and I think I need your help then.

90% of road accidents are due to driving without getting drunk...

Ithu epudi iruku???!!!

I am attached with...

November 4 2010

The past one year I have been witnessing greener and greener patches in life. I am so much attached to six characters and these six characters have changed the way I look at life. All these six characters have become a part of me
Character 1: My Che Guevara dollar
I first had this dollar two years back and it is there in the same place for the last two years. I have changed my clothes,  socks and even my girlfriend.  But I have not removed my chain even for once. It might even become a part of my skin.
Character 2: Music
It all started with my SARAV ANNA's Walkman when I was in class eight. The love for different music forms piled up big time in the recent past and hearing AR Rahman, Yanni, Kenny G, and even sufi and hindi songs have become a part of my routine life. God's grace that I am able to hear music cos I am always alone.
Character 3: My Blog
Why do I write? no body asks me or even don't listen when I speak. cos I am man of failure's. I love to help others, I love to speak and even I love to smile a lot. Infact when I read a book, I search for jokes in it. I want my readers to ask, love, cry and smile too. This Blog is just here for the same reason. It brings out the sorrows, burdens and even funny child within me.
Character 4. My Computer
I have been in this computer for almost fourteen years and I am in love with my computer. I can speak, play, learn, get new friends, old friends back, get my krithi and kavin's updated photos, games and every thing which keeps me calm, busy and even messy too. But anyways, its my computer and I love the mess I have created here.
Character 5. My Room
The bed-sheets are crumpled. The pillows are still wet with passion. Her distinctive odour pervades in the room. The door is shut, the curtains are drawn. Because there is nothing. The 3 a.m. breeze whistles past my room. It is slightly chilly outside; I am very cold. It is a silent, serene, peaceful night only cos I am alone in my room.
Character 6. My Cellphone
Samsung Corby 3G. She comes to any where with me … sleeps with me ( sssh !! ) but the sweetest of all  that she does… she can sing, talk, and internet for hours !!!

Leonardo da Krithi

November 3 2010

When I was in class two, I participated in my first and last painting competition. The judging criteria was so biased that I did not win the coveted competition. I used modern painting technology which included spitting on the chart paper, pouring coconut oil on the chart( my own version of oil painting) and even lighting up the edges of the chart paper to give it an ash effect. I did not even get the consolation prize. I never tried my hand in painting after that incident.

My niece "Krithi", however is a great artist. She is not even eight. But she draws and paints really well. She lives in her dream world with her dream characters,"Dora, Cinderella, Barbie and Winnie the pooh.

The picture on the left was her version of "Dora with flowers". Gathering mighty inspiration from the little kid's work, me too tried my hand in drawing. But finally when I took the pencil and paper, I did not know what to draw. So I went ahead with my other chores and never bothered to draw. Coming back to Krithi's drawing skills, when she was in chennai she draws on the walls, on the floor, under the bed. On the contrary when I was eight, all I knew was to chew my fingers. I am stressing again that I was eight then.I used to eat slate pencils and crayons. But little krithi even does amazing artwork on her school activities too. Am not gonna explain it in detail, cos this blog does not entertaing grossness below a certain decree.

are you a desperate BACHELOR???

November 2 2010

I am still a wandering bachelor and hence I have the liberty to come up with various combinations of finding a partner. I pity all those who have already found one. This post is for all the Guys who lost their girl friend or do not have a girl friend( That includes the author also).
In my college days we should not submit our record notes with out  writing process flow charts along with programs. I am envisioning a simple process flow chart that would enable the desperate aspirants to find their match. Click on this picture to understand more.
If anyone is successful with the above mentioned process, please inform me too. I would like to implement it in my life too.

Priceless...

November 1 2010

My Niece,"Swetha"...
Did she just read my blog???
She called me this morning and we had 30 mins discussion.
This smile just made my day.
Priceless...

 I was recently going through the photo album and I stalled on this particular photo. This bicycle picture spoke a million words and it pulled me back down memory lane and all those childhood memories flashed across my mind.
The first cycle in my life was actually a tricycle. It is still very much alive
The second cycle was a big bicycle. It was my cousin Shiva Anna's bicycle. It is in the picture.
The first bicycle that I ever rode was a BSA-SLR. And you know it was my 'cousin's cycle. I was ten years old then. The first monkey-pedal is very fresh in my memory along with my first girl friend Sharmi.(she is my uncles daughter too) I learnt to ride a bicycle in two days.
When I was fifteen, I got my first TVS champ 50cc bike. It was my dads bike. Each and every day there is a fight with my dad. I used it till class twelve

The last time I cycled was in the year 1996. Now it has been fourteen years. Time sure runs fast. I would like to talk about few techniques on mounting on top of a bicycle.
Mounting Technique

Mounting on top of a bicycle and parking your rear-end on the seat becomes a tough job if you are short like Sharmi. she stands a total of 140 cms. (Actually she is just 138.7 cms. But she has rounded it to 140cms). Mounting is very essential to ride a bicycle. There are two basic ways of mounting on top of a bicycle.
a) The Karate Kick technique

This is the easiest technique to get on top of a bicycle. The cyclist should use his hands to hold the handle-bar and he should stand on the left side of the cycle.The left leg should be placed on the pedal and using the right leg, the cyclist should generate velocity and when the cycle moves forward, the cyclist should perform the "Karate-Kick" move which would enable him to clear the bar and position his right feet on the right pedal of the cycle.
Care should be taken during the Karate-Kick move. If not properly performed, serious damage could happen on the groin-zone of the cyclist. The author of this blog has been a victim on a couple of occasions. Are you a victim too?

b) Monkey Pedal Technique

This is the basic way of pedaling in between the bars of a cycle to ride it. Instead of the "Karate Kick" move,the cyclist should leave his leg in between the center bar and pedal.

Now I have a question for the readers...
 why it is known as monkey pedal?

those childhood games...

October 30 2010

This picture was taken when I was 6 years old. My brothers SARAVANAN ANNA and Sridhar Anna  is standing on both sides to me. I do not have my two front teeth in this picture. I lost them during the Pakistan war. The reason for me adding my childhood picture is to pictorially represent the content of this post.
Ages : 10 and below, would understand this post better

"1, 2, 3,4,8,9, 13, 15, 28, 29, 42, 48,49,50. I am ready. Here, I come"... I would say this and start searching for my friends. It has been more than two decades now. But those hide and seek games of my childhood days are still fresh in my memory. Yes, I used to cheat with my counting.

Wearing a hat and climbing trees was another great excitement boosting sport. Climbing the trees is usually accompanied by having hi-definition gadgets like a "cheap catapult" and a "cheap binocular".

Collecting railway platform tickets/travel tickets and using them for trading games was another regular game that I used to play as a kid. I remember the fights that I have had with Satish anna  for those paper tickets.

Another interesting game was to break the legs of Heman dolls (My cousin's collection).

Ludo,Snakes and Ladders, Chinese Checkers, Stealing the red coin from carrom board were popular board games of those days.

I remember a game that Akila akka and Abi akka (they are my uncles daughter) used to play. The hopping-square game. A 4x2 table is drawn on the sand ground and the player has to hop on 1 leg and then throw the stone backwards in the last square box. I have forgotten the rules of the game. But I remember the girls used to love this game big time during those days.

There was this game played with marbles. My neighbour taught me that game. It was so much fun indeed.

On week-ends we used to go to the park and fly kites. My dad taught me to make kites.

Paper boat game is the most popular game during the monsoon season. Papers from rough note books are torn and are re-designed as paper boats and they are made to float in the water during rainy season.

Akila akka also had this habit of collecting Glo dolls ( Dolls that glow in the dark). I used to pluck those dolls from her and present it to my classmates (girls)

Another game that pulled me like a magnet was street cricket. I would come back from school and wait near the kitchen window and would longingly look at the empty ground near my house. Slowly my neighbours and street-mates would come to the ground with rubber balls and cricket bats. We would climb trees, break twigs and make stumps from them.

I recently came across this lovely video Krithi, Kavin and Charan playing together. I so badly miss my childhood now.
(Krithi and Kavin are SARAVANAN ANNA's Children and Charan is Sridhar anna's only son and He is the big BOSS in our family)

With the advent of internet and modern day electronic gadgets, kids these days live in a virtual world. Everything has become plastic offlate. The kids of the present generation do not have a single clue about the fun games that we played when we were kids. There are so many other games that we would have played in our childhood days. If you have any childhood game memories, please feel free to share in the comment section

The Bruce Lee & Master Zhu

October 29 2010

Warning: Extremely dangerous post. Readers are requested not to try this at home.

I feel to write something about some good old memories from my life. When I was a 9 year old kid, I saw the movie," Enter the Dragon". I became an instant fan of Bruce Lee. From that day onwards my poor cousin Sanu would be at the recipient end of my kicks and punches. I would often stand in front of the mirror and admire my rib cage bones (I still do that) and scream like Bruce Lee. Out of rage, I have even gone to the extent of tearing pillows and venting my power output on the cushions. Such outbursts had resulted in my Mom and Samu Perima punishing me very badly. I am sad that the option of 911 was not there when I was a kid.

I soon joined a Karate class and after 9 days I got my Black belt in Karate.(hy its true believe me ya) Breaking a clay-brick was not a very tough job anymore. It was as simple as killing a mosquito. Throwing a clay-brick from the top of your house on the road is a simple method to break the brick. I was very good in it. I still do it with ease. When I entered college, I became eligible to become a Karate Master because I also learnt Kung-Fu and I had completed 4 dons after my black belt. But I never told any of my friends that I am an exponent of a martial art.

Soon, I started my career in aircel and my colleagues found out that I am a Kung-Fu Master. These were the same boys with whom I joined hands and formed the Biker Boy gang (Please see the photo to know about the dangerous Biker Boys). So after much pressure from my friends, I decided to teach them Kung-Fu. In Mandarin, the word "Zhu" is used to refer to a Master. So as a first lesson, I made my colleagues to call me Master.Zhu. They instantly obeyed my command because they knew that if they did not respect their master, they would be subjected to his wrath and his iron fists.(I was their Master)

I envisaged a plan and decided to teach them two Killer Moves that would topple any enemy.

1) The Power Lift
2) The Ostrich kick
The Power Lift is a very dangerous technique that can be performed only by expert Black belt exponents like me. If a person masters the art of Power Lift, he can lift even an elephant.
(Prabhupepsi preforming the Power Lift)

The Ostrich Kick is another extreme dangerous martial art move. This move is deadly and can be used to kill three persons simultaneously. This particular move involves great flexibility and the Kung-Fu exponent performs this move in mid air by jumping few feets above the ground. The exponent not only jumps few feets above the ground they 've to kick at least anyone who stands opposite to the exponent. This move instantly brings death to the enemy.
(My student Krithi is preforming the Ostrich Kick, Should be performed only by trained professionals. Don't do this stunt in your home, It ll be very dangerous to your family members )

The above two moves are very dangerous and I request my readers, not to try this at home or at market place or in the toilet. Coming back to the topic, I took my friends to the top of a mountain(ooty) and put them under rigorous training for 30 days. They became physically strong. But to perform the above two deadly moves, one should be emotionally strong too. So I decided to train them with a new form of meditation sitting in the steps and lean one after another. It is called Nithra Boja Asana. If they had meditated for 30 days, they'd have become mentally strong too.
29 days of meditation made them really strong and I knew that they were almost ready for fighting against the world. But on the last day, the unthinkable happened. All my efforts went down the drain because one of my friends (Shiva) did the unthinkable. The candid camera caught him red-handed. He wasn't meditating properly but was smiling during the meditation session and hence my dreams of building a strong team of martial art exponents came down crashing on the final day.

Shiva is now the father of a kid and his naughtiness still prevails. When I think about this Karate memories, a few drop of tears escape from my eye lids.

Note: I am pretty sure that the readers of Prabhupepsi.com would have realised by now that the whole post is full of lies. But I assure you that One thing that I mentioned in this post is absolutely true. Can you find what it is?

I met her.....

October 28 2010

"Some pairs are made in heaven, but some unusual pairs are made in the beach."

It has been two years. I was sitting in the Sims Park(coonoor) thinking about those good old days. The fun filled school life. Musical days in college. Memories are always sweet to cherish especially when we are alone.

I saw happy faces running around and playing in the park. An old man walking with his dog. A young couple playing with their little kid. A few bachelors sitting together and cracking jokes. Well I noticed them all.

I was sitting alone. It was a cold evening. The sun was setting. I noticed a man and his girlfriend walking on the grass. She was holding his hands and her head rested on his shoulders. I felt happy for them. But as they walked past me, tear drops welled my eyes. Anitha.Yes thats the same girl...

I was a student in Seetharam masters tuition. The girls have just joined in. I was among the very few souls in tuition who wanted to have a good time ragging the newcomers.

"Whats your name?",my rough voice echoed through her ear drums...
"Anitha",a soft voice soothed my ear drums ...

27th February 2001
College day celebrations. She was sitting in the crowd. I was on stage with my band. I did not take my eyes off Anitha. She had her eyes fixed on mine too. The vacuum between us was so thick that I could actually cut it with a knife.Lady in Red. My friends knew that I dedicated the song for her

27th February 2002
Six years of togetherness. We were sitting in the same park.(those days we use to go ooty our favorite one day trip) We are loving six years now. Neither of us ever start our goodbye talk each other. But we knew in our hearts that we were in tears. I finally popped the question, "Shall I go to chennai? I am sure I ll back within a year!"... A few minutes of silence.. Our eyes spoke the language of love. Our tears finally blossomed in the park.

27th February 2003
I am no more in college. I have passed out of college. I am working now. I call her to remind her that this was the day that I first spoke to her and this was the day that our love blossomed between us. I talked for five long hours. The heavy phone bill said it all.

27th February 2004
I am now in Chennai and she has passed out of college. She is working in a school in Pollachi. I took leave from office and went all the way from Chennai to Coimbatore to see her. We had a great time. I knew she missed me a lot
"When will you marry me?"
"Wait till I get a good job"
"But my parents are looking for a guy for me. It is very hard to convince them. You are Tamil.  I am a Telugu. You are a mudaliar. I am a chettiar. Do you think that it will work out?"
" Why such a doubt after four years? That too on a special day?"
"Just wanted to ask you! Do you think that we could make it?"
"What ever happens, I am sure that we will make it through"

27th February 2009
Our marriage was stopped and it has been four months. But I still can't find where she is!!!

I was not a part of her world anymore. "Even Humorous people have sad memories", I thought to myself and walked into the sunset with tears.

Who is my kind of gurl?

October 27 2010

I never felt that I was missing Anitha in life until I realised that I am still single. So if you would ask me whether I would be ready to mingle; the answer would be a loud NO. I find it really hard to handle myself (No pun intended in this line)and I do not want to think about settling down now(Ok no sad stories). There should be only one chatterbox in the family and I strongly believe that it should be me. So should I find a dumb girl? I guess this has nothing to do with my latest attraction towards blondes. Sharapova, Kournikova, Boomika, Anushka; Are you girls listening?

I wanted to marry Sania Mirza, because if she had become my wife, I could accompany her to the grandslams and sit in the crowd and start a conversation with a pretty girl in the crowd. But things did not go as planned and Sania got married. I was still ready to accept her. But when she was blanked in the US open second round 6-0,6-0 by Flavia Pennetta, I changed my mind. I don't wanna marry Sania anymore.

It is really hard to find a silent, calm girl. So the probability of me finding a calm girl is nearly nil. Hence I am finding alternate methods to adjust my life, if I end up with a chatter box as my wife. This is the kind of car I would buy. I would make it sure that my wife never gets to drive the car.
Do I have any other options? Should I marry a call center girl/ telemarketing girl. I have got a very poor relationship with telemarketing girls. When I was working in the IT Industry, I used to receive regular phone calls from telemarketing girls. I didn't have a clue how they used to get my phone number. I would at least get two calls every week. I soon found a way to deal with them. I am gonna write about three conversation-incidents I had with telemarketing girls (TMG).

1) The caring girl
Prabhu: Hello! Who is this? ( I did not know that it was a call from a telemarketer)
TMG: Hello Sir! How are you today? (I hear a girl's voice. My eyes go big)
Prabhu: I am fine. Can I know who this is? ( In my best tone)
TMG: Sir I am calling from ABC company. Is it a right time to speak to you? (My eyes go small now and I have had more than enough from telemarketers. So I think of playing along)
Prabhu: Yes! This is the perfect timing to talk with someone. I wanted to talk with someone. You know onething; No one cares for me these days. I am glad that you called.
TMG: But sir! I called to inform you that...
Prabhu: What is your name?
TMG: Oh sorry sir. My name is Suneeta (OMG why you are hurting me again and again)
Prabhu: Wow. that is a lovely name. I had a classmate. Her name was Suneeta too. She is dumb. Hope you are not like her.
TMG: Sir, I called to inform you that we have an offer
Prabhu: An offer? Wow! You are so sweet. How thoughtful of you. Is it a free flight ticket to America? My brother's are there.(She may thought Seriyana Perumai peetha karayana irupanatiruke)
TMG: Excuse me sir. But I called to inform you...
Prabhu: Hey Suneeta. I need to go and brush my teeth now. Why don't you give me your mobile number? I would give you a missed call tonight. We can talk freely. I would pour my heart out to my new friend
Bang........
That was last time I ever received a call from Suneeta.

2) Airtel Customer Care girl
Back then,I had a Airtel phone connection. So I used to get calls from Airtel customer care girls on a regular basis. At first, it was fun to receive calls from them. But when it became an habit, the calls became an headache. One day a girl named Brindha called me and tried to get me to sign up for the Family and Friends Plan.When I replied in a husky voice, "I don't have any friends. would you be my friend?" she hung up.

3) Sharmi?
Once I got a call from a telemarketer and she sounded like my Sharmi. I kept on insisting her that she was indeed Sharmi. I asked to stop playing a joke too. "Come on Sharmi, cut it out! I found you, How is uncle, aunt and specially your fiancee? Atleast will you name your son, Prabhu?". The caller hung up. Now I think it was really Sharmi at the other end.
My tryst with call centre girls has yielded negative results so far and hence I decided to call my friend Adarsh to give me advice about girls. Adarsh was my class mate and he is like the Mamooty of Thalapathi, of course I am the Rajini too(ithu surya sir! nerpu, orasathinga) . When ever we got emotion he hug me and say "Ivan pinaa enoda thalapathi" He recently got married. I rang him up.
"Hey Prabhu buddy. How with you? Long time thalapathi".
" Yes Adarsh! How is married life?"
" It was good in the beginning. Now its boring?"
" Why? You were very good with girls and you ditched every girl in college. Now your folks found a cute girl for you. Why is it boring?"
"Marriage is like a body spray thalapathi. It is fresh and nice in the beginning. But very soon the scent mixes with your sweat and combined effect is bad."
" So should I go for an arranged marriage or should I go for love anyone again?"
" Well! Let me tell you something. Marriage is like a river. The bridegroom is a creature who doesn't know swimming. Arranged marriage is an art in which the bridegroom is pushed into the river by his folks. Love marriage is the art of committing suicide in which the groom takes the plunge all by himself" for god's sake you didn't get married with Anitha thala!
"That is sad. I am scared of getting married now"
" Well. Let me tell you some thing more about life. Life has only two paths.1) Career and 2) Love. Career is nothing but building your career. Love is nothing but building your love"
"Err. How many pegs down?"
" Now pouring my 7th peg thala. Lemme tell you about two more things about life"
" I'll call you laterz bro"

Moral: Never ask advice from a drunk friend.

Nine Nutty Memories

October 26 2010

This past week, I had a few weird learning experiences. I just wanna share it with everyone.

1) Do not use the mobile phone while taking a bath. Chances are that your mobile phone might end up in the water bowl and the soap might end up in your ear.

2) Do not use ear buds on your ears while seated in the back seat of a car and especially when you have someone driving the car like ronaldo's nanny.

3) Do not talk on the phone while eating out. You might poke your nose with the fork.

4) Never scare a small kid in a shopping mall by showing funny faces. The kid might spit on your face.

5) Never give missed calls to your newly-married friend. His wife might call you back and give a five minute decent speech to you.

6) Bitings dogs never Bark.

7) When you are in the bathroom, make sure that you latch your door knob properly. Your brother might have the shock of his life.

8) If a city girl  accidently happens to be your travelmate, she will surely have a Sidney Sheldon Book in her hand. She will have the amazing capability to jump from page 44 to 163 in just 5 minutes. She will also keep on scratching her head. Yuk. It is not a dream come true to have a hitech girl as your travelmate.

9) When you decide to quit orkut for ever, you will receive three testimonials and fourteen friendship requests.
