How Poor We Are...

April 2 2010

One day a father and his rich family took his son to a trip to the country
with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be.
They spent a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family.
“Son, How was the trip?”, father asked after the trip.
“Very good Dad!”
“Did you see how poor people can be?” the father asked.
“Yeah!”, the son smiled.
“And what did you learn?”

The son answered,
“I saw that we have a dog at home,
and they have four……
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden,
they have a creek that has no end…..
We have imported lamps in the garden,
they have the stars….
Our patio reaches to the front yard, they have a whole horizon.”
When the little boy was finishing, his father was speechless.
His son added, “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are!”

I need a new vision to see the world as he saw. Redefining the way I look around. The way I think. Is it about looking deep inside, wide around ? is it about looking in a different way.. I am not yet sure.. still, this is something to think about. When there was a sea near you, when you had all the sky and stars, you tried to build a small space of your own, yes you tried to take something, rather as much as you can from it but never tried to make yourself a part of it. When you are, you will feel so rich because now you are the sea, the sky and the stars. We look around for friends, think how can you become a good friend rather than thinking how to make a good friend

Still a lot of questions, answers thoughts pictures…….let me think, think and think
